Strandhotel am Weissensee

The Strandhotel am Weissensee is idyllically located in Neusach, right on the shores of Lake Weissensee—Austria’s highest-altitude swimming lake. Surrounded by the impressive mountains of Carinthia, the hotel uniquely blends nature, relaxation, exquisite dining, and warm hospitality.

The stylishly furnished rooms and suites feature private balconies offering stunning lake views. Natural materials, warm wooden floors, high-quality mattresses, and atmospheric lighting create a cozy ambiance, ensuring every stay is a special experience.

What truly sets the Strandhotel apart is its warm, family-like atmosphere. Personalized service, genuine hospitality, and a true sense of welcome are just as much a part of the experience as the unique lakeside location. With great attention to detail, the hotel creates a setting where guests feel at ease from the very first moment and are eager to return.

A culinary highlight is the hotel’s award-winning cuisine (recognized with two Gault&Millau toques). The culinary team specializes in creative vegetarian and vegan dishes that showcase high-quality regional ingredients. They use selected local organic products and fresh herbs from the hotel’s own garden to craft modern, sophisticated dishes that combine indulgence with sustainability.

Guests can unwind in the wellness area—featuring various saunas—or relax on the rooftop terrace, the sun deck, and in the spacious garden with direct access to the lake. The Strandhotel am Weissensee is a special retreat for those seeking to combine the tranquility of nature, warm family hospitality, and exceptional culinary experiences.
