Husam·5·Dec. 2025· "I had a great stay at Ahmed's place. Unfortunately, I arrived later than expected due to an airport delay, but Ahmed was very flexible and understanding. He's extremely welcoming and friendly from the moment I arrived, I felt at home. The room was super nice with a very comfy bed, and he even offered me an extra blanket. The location is also great and easy to find. Overall, a really chill and pleasant stay."

William·5·Jul. 2026· "Mathieu is a smiling and funny host, responsive, very accommodating and truly very pleasant. I felt very comfortable very quickly thanks to him. Out of the 4 evenings, we spent 2 together (bars and restaurants he introduced me to) it was like hanging out with a friend.
The apartment is identical to the description given, charming, bright, practical and tastefully furnished.
Everything is spotless (Mathieu is organized and a true homemaker... haha).
The mezzanine bedroom is spartan, and has a very low ceiling for a tall guy like me, but quite sufficient for the 4 days I spent at Mathieu's.
And his cat is very beautiful.
Finally, the location is great and public transportation is at the foot of the building. Very convenient.
I recommend."

He gave me great tips for enjoying the city and was always attentive. The room is very comfortable and exactly as shown in the photos. The atmosphere of the place is relaxed and pleasant, it makes you feel right at home. I definitely recommend it and would stay again. 😊"

The hosts were charming and very welcoming, Bertrand was especially generous with his time in offering helpful tips on getting around the city and suggesting interesting places to visit. His recommendations were much appreciated and really helped me make the most of my time there. I didn’t feel awkward despite my lack of French language comprehension.
Unfortunately my schedule in Lille was quite packed, so I didn’t get to spend as much time chatting with the hosts as I would have liked. I wasn’t entirely sure how much interaction they usually prefer to have with their guests. That said, they were always warm, friendly, and approachable whenever we crossed paths. They were extremely generous and flexible with check-in/out times.
Overall it was a very comfortable stay and an excellent base for exploring Lille. The room was comfortable and I would happily stay again and would definitely recommend it to other travellers. One thing of note if you are driving; there’s no free parking other than on the streets later on in the day. There are a few lots close by, the one I used charged €17 per 24 hours (actually not bad compared to Vancouver parking rates but an extra cost to factor in for longer stays).

Neil·5·Feb. 2026· "The house is in a lovely neighbourhood, a few minutes from Southfields tube station. The bedroom and en-suite are on the top floor so very private and comfortable. Tim and Dev were brilliant hosts and they kindly offered for me to join them for dinner. They are friendly, chatty and engaging. Hector the dog is a bundle of joy! Would definitely recommend their place to stay."
