Andreas·5·Nov. 2025· "Javier is a perfect host. Friendly, helpful and reliable. It was like coming to a good friend. He showed me his city and a lot of special places. We had really fun together and I learned a lot about Mexico City. For example, that it's not more dangerous as any other big city in the world.
I had a wonderful room with an own bathroom, and a great sundowner terrace at rooftop. The apartment is quite new, with a security in the Lobby. Everything was perfect and clean. I hope to come back soon."

Comfy and Cozy Studio with Pool and Netflix

Edwin·5·Mar. 2020· "Great place. Yong, the caretaker Rikki and the Vista Taft Residence reception staff were super for communication and help. The condo is well situated in a lively area with lots of conveniences, shops and restaurants. Very close to the harbour. I had a great vacation.
Only thing to work on is the shower water heater, and a little more free space for luggage storage.
Thanks. Overall 4 1/2 stars!

Stylish San Telmo Apt w/Pool & Gym—Near Tango, Nightlife, & Market!
1 Bedroom • 2 Beds • 1 Bathroom
Alan·4·Jan. 2026· "I stayed here for about a week and overall was very happy with the apartment and the value for money. The price was excellent for Buenos Aires, and the building feels modern and secure. The rooftop pool and gym are a big plus, and I liked having a proper kitchen so I could cook when I didn’t feel like going out.
San Telmo is an interesting, historic neighborhood with a lot of character. Plaza Dorrego and Calle Defensa are an easy walk and absolutely worth exploring – antique shops, street art, cafés, markets, and plenty of people-watching. There’s also a hop-on hop-off bus stop nearby in front of the Museo de Arte Moderno, which was useful for sightseeing.
One thing to be aware of: most group tours in Buenos Aires do **not** pick up in San Telmo, so you’ll probably need to use Uber or a taxi to get to the typical meeting points (usually Centro, Recoleta, or Palermo). Not a deal-breaker, but good to know when you’re planning.
The apartment itself was clean and matched the photos. My only real comfort issue was the bed – the mattress was much firmer than I prefer, though some people might like that. The bathroom has only an **overhead (rain-style) shower**, not a handheld one, which I personally don’t love, but the **water pressure was very good** and there was plenty of hot water. Wi-Fi worked well. The TV/Netflix instructions in the PDF guide were slightly out of date, but with a little trial and error I got everything working.
For practical stuff:
* I drank the **tap water** in the apartment the whole time with **no problems**, so in case you’re wondering, it’s safe to drink.
* Make sure you have ************, because Diego (the building super) uses it to coordinate check-in and let you into the apartment.
* Laura, the owner, was kind and helpful, and the PDF guide she sends has a lot of useful information. If you need to reach her quickly, I recommend texting her directly, because she may not always see in-app messages right away.
I also recommend buying a **round-trip ticket from the official taxi stand at Ezeiza Airport**. The price for the round trip to San Telmo was very reasonable for about a 30-minute ride each way and it was completely hassle-free.
One logistic issue that’s worth mentioning: many international flights into Buenos Aires arrive very early in the morning (before check-in) and depart late at night (long after check-out). In my case I had to be out of the apartment at 10 a.m., but my airport taxi wasn’t coming until 5 p.m. I used an app called **Radical Storage** to find a nearby hotel that stored my bags for about six hours, and that worked perfectly. I highly recommend it if you have a similar gap between check-out and your flight.
Buenos Aires itself is a fantastic city and I always felt welcome; people were very friendly. I speak Spanish, but I had to adapt quickly to the local use of *vos* instead of *tú*. Food is obviously a matter of taste, but I personally found a lot of restaurant options fairly expensive and a bit bland, so I ended up cooking quite a lot in the apartment. Definitely try **alfajores** while you’re here, though – those were a highlight.
In summary: a solid, comfortable base in San Telmo at a great price, with helpful hosts and good building amenities. Just be aware of the firm bed, the overhead-only shower, the need to Uber to most tour meeting points, and the early-arrival/late-departure timing issue, and you’ll likely have a very good stay here.

Leo·5·Jun. 2026· "Unfortunately my stay is influenced by the big heatwave. The room in de bnb was far too hot, it was a room right under the rooftop. With no airco options.
Of course i can not blame the owners. They realised a very cute decorated house. The breakfast was included and was great.
They are friendly guys!"

Devin·5·Aug. 2026· "My stay at Richie & Michael's Casa Contenta was absolutely amazing! The home is exactly like the pictures—beautiful, comfortable, and even better in person. The pool was my favorite, with the sun beaming down and creating gorgeous natural light. ☀🏊🏽♂ The mango tree in the front yard was full of fruit, and the sweet mango scent added the perfect tropical touch. 🥭🌴 Even though they weren't there, everything was perfect. I'd definitely stay again! ❤"
