"The apartment feels a little dated, but that's okay because everything is well maintained and clean. At this price you can only get a room in the Paris area, but here you get a whole apartment when the owner is traveling. (which he often is) The bedroom has exterior blinds (darkens completely), the bathroom has a bathtub and the living room has a well-equipped open kitchen in addition to WiFi and TV. There is also a terrace, which is certainly great in summer. The apartment is quiet and you can hear the neighbors cooking at noon, but at night the neighbors sleep and it is generally a quiet residential area. Use earplugs if necessary. The Mairie de Lilas bus and metro stop is only a 5-minute walk away. It is 20 minutes to the center of Paris and 30 minutes to the Gare du Nord train station. A big thank you to Alain and his girlfriend for the warm welcome."
