My recent travels took me to Turkey, where I found both charm and adventure.
According to human rights and LGBTQ+ organizations, sexual orientation and gender identity are criminalized/marginalized in this destination. It might not be the safest place for LGBTQ+ travelers, who are advised to refrain from any public display of affection and remain careful.

They were very welcoming and gave many helpful recommendations; I only wish I had been able to stay longer to experience Istanbul more. I will definitely be returning to enjoy not just the city, but also their company, their delicious cooking, and of course Pace the cat. I felt comfortable and thoroughly taken care of throughout my stay."

And Berlin, his cat honestly, what a sweetheart. Such a lovely little soul, and definitely one of the sweetest parts of the stay. It didn't feel like just staying in someone's place; it felt warm, peaceful. I'm really grateful for the experience and would happily recommend Utku to anyone."

Yigit is the most attentive host: he gave me plenty of good tips and was always present to make my stay the most comfortable as possible. Definitely recommended!"

Ronnie·4·Jun. 2024· "The room I occupied was adequate, it has a single bed low to the floor with lots of sunlight, a small table for my laptop, my host Mutlu and his partner are both very friendly, they have 2 cats and 4 kittens in the apartment which took me a while to get used to, I was afraid to step on one of them as they like to stay outside the bathroom door when they noticed that I was using it, I stepped out and almost stepped on one of them. The location was good, it is close to the main street."
