Bogotá is becoming more and more attractive to gays

The newspaper's document makes extensive mention of Bogotá's gay-friendly neighborhood. The gay establishments are mainly found in the Chapinero Alto neighborhood, nicknamed Chapigay. Over the years, the Blanca Ines Duran Hernandez neighborhood has become a refuge for lesbians.

For the past three years, Colombia's Constitutional Court has given much the same benefits to cohabiting gay couples as their heterosexual friends.

The right to immigration of partners was also authorized when the constitutional law was changed. Several mentions were added, including the sharing of health and social security benefits among same-sex couples.

Since this law was passed, many gay and gay-friendly establishments have opened in the two gay neighborhoods. Among those that have opened is the High Park boutique hotel, which caters exclusively to gays and lesbians.

The article also mentions the city of Cartagena, located in northern Colombia. It has a very gay scene and a popular beach. on its own, this gay destination has it all. The locals affectionately refer to their city as "Playa Hollywood".Colombia has every opportunity to be a gay friendly destination, even though it has had a hard time with FARC and Íngrid Betancourt.
