Adelaide Gay Map

Mary's Poppin is Adelaide's headline queer venue, a queer-owned bar and nightclub that has been the city's go-to LGBTQ+ party spot since opening in April 2016. Climb the stairs, and you'll find a neon-lit, over-the-top room of mirrored walls and ceilings, light-up go-go cages, a high-tech video disco bar, and a giant rainbow, spread over two levels after a downstairs expansion.

Ancient World is Adelaide's hidden queer-friendly basement, tucked down an alley off Hindley Street next to an adult store and easy to walk past. It began as a pop-up for the 2014 Adelaide Fringe and grew into an artist-run, multi-purpose space known for gritty, welcoming nights.

My suburb Bowden is a trendy newly developed ex industrial area on the northern edge of the CBD. The apartment is new, roomy and nicely fitted out with all the modern cons.

Pulteney 431, known to regulars simply as "The Club" or "431," is Adelaide's only gay sauna and one of Australia's longest-running, welcoming the city's gay and bisexual men since 1977. In the heart of the city, it offers a dry sauna, steam room, a pool and spa, a maze, a sun terrace, private cabins, a sling, massage, and a laid-back snack-bar lounge, with a strong emphasis on consent, safety, and inclusion.

Located at 348 King William Street in central Adelaide, ClubX is an adult store combined with cinemas, private viewing booths and spaces where visitors can meet other adults discreetly. Older gay guides may still list the venue as Ram Lounge or Ram Lounge at Club X.

Maslin Beach is a popular gay beach located in the suburb of Maslin Beach in Adelaide, South Australia. It is known for its long, wide stretch of white sand and crystal-clear water, which make it a popular spot for swimming, sunbathing, and other beach activities.
