Café NIL

NiL is one of the oldest and most beloved gay bars in Munich, an Egyptian-themed café and bar on the corner of Hans-Sachs-Straße in the heart of the Glockenbachviertel. Warm and welcoming, with a relaxed, all-ages crowd, it works as a café by day and a lively bar by night, serving a menu of German comfort food; its cornflake schnitzel and strawberry cake are local favorites, alongside drinks. A genuine neighborhood landmark said to have been a Freddie Mercury haunt in the 1980s, it's comfortable indoors or out and an easy, friendly base in the gayborhood.
