The Street is a long-standing, independently owned gay bar, eatery, and nightclub in the heart of Edinburgh's Pink Triangle at Picardy Place, a landmark of the city's scene since 2004. Spread over two floors with heated outdoor terraces on both levels, it works as an all-day spot, glass-fronted and great for a coffee or cocktail and some people-watching by day, with a full food menu served into the evening. Come Friday and Saturday nights, the basement nightclub kicks in, with DJs spinning dance mixes and crowd-pleasers until the early hours. Warm, casual, and welcoming to all, with friendly staff and reasonable prices, it's a dependable place to eat, drink, and dance, and an easy first stop before exploring the rest of the Pink Triangle. (After 1 am on club nights, entry is around the corner on Broughton Street.)
