This thoughtfully furnished treehouse loft-style apartment offers an ideal setting for your retreat. Situated on a 6.5-acre property sculpted over three decades by local landscaper Alfonso Carlon, the location is less than 20 minutes from Downtown Austin. The property borders a 45-foot tall rock wall behind the property and features a seasonal wet/dry creek shaped by meteoric activity, as well as hundreds of undeveloped acres adjacent to the land. The apartment encompasses approximately 825 square feet of sunlit space above the main floor of Lotus Bend Sanctuary, an established day and weekend meeting and retreat center. Amenities include a fully electric kitchen, one bathroom with two separate toilet closets, and a spacious shower stall with a bright skylight. The screened porch provides views of a koi pond and native wildlife, creating a tranquil environment, particularly in the mornings and evenings. Residents enjoy a safe, secluded, and peaceful atmosphere, enhanced by features such as a Roman-style labyrinth, fire circle, 4,500-gallon koi pond, shaded decks, meditation spaces, a Native American sweat lodge, and areas for exploring the forest and creek. While occasional meetings or retreats may take place in the main hall below, apartment guests can easily come and go without having to interface with them. We have both a yoga teacher/astrologer and Reiki master residents who are available for consultation on a fee basis. *Please note the apartment is accessible by stairway only, and small pets under 20lbs are allowed in the apartment. There are restaurants, grocery stores and bars within 10 miles of the apartment, however more exclusive gay bars only are going to be located predominantly in downtown Austin. The apartment sleeping accommodations include a queen bed, full size bed, and leather couch. There are also affordable downstairs sleeping rooms if you need extra rooms.
