After traveling all day, I finally arrived in Anchorage only to be left standing outside in the cold and rain because I could not access the property. The entry code provided did not work, and despite multiple attempts to contact the host, I received no response. What made the situation even more frustrating was that the host had previously mentioned that his EV would be parked outside the property, and it was there when I arrived. I rang the doorbell, called numerous times, and even noticed a light on in the upstairs area of the home, yet no one responded or assisted me. I also contacted MisterB&B Customer Support for help and was told someone would call me back, but I did not receive the immediate assistance I needed. After traveling all day, the last thing anyone should have to deal with is standing outside in cold, rainy weather with their luggage and nowhere to stay. I was ultimately able to receive a full refund, but that’s not the point. If a host is unavailable, I understand—but somebody needs to be available to assist guests when something goes wrong. There should be a reliable backup process, especially when a guest cannot even access the property they paid for. I ended up having to find alternative accommodations on my own. While I appreciate receiving the refund, it does not change the experience or the lack of support when I actually needed it. Customers deserve better.
Had a great stay in Michael's condo. Unfortunately I didn't get to meet him (he was out of town) but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. His home is quiet, clean and comfortable. It was easy to get to and access, proximal to downtown and not far from the airport, hiking areas, restaurants, etc. I would absolutely stay again if I found myself in the Anchorage area. Thanks Michael!
Michael's place is very clean and close to downtown and perfect for our long weekend stay in Alaska. Michael was very communicative with great suggestions and insights into the local scene.
Michael is absolutely cool and very helpful. He knows Alaska extremely well and gave me lots of great advice on where to visit. He's also very generous and considerate, offering me his ski equipment, which I truly appreciated and which made my trip even more wonderful. His apartment is very clean, quiet, and cozy. Make sure to read the manual on the table to have the best stay. Definitely a 5-star experience!
