The place is in an older building with no elevator, but it’s only1 short flight of stairs. It’s in a safe area, about 20-minute walk from Lake Michigan & Montrose Bird Sanctuary Park. Several bus stops and train/metro stations are nearby and Uber is readily available. For budget-conscious travelers, I have a comfortable L-shaped couch in my living room, as shown in the photo. Please note that it is a regular couch and not a sofa bed.

Mau was a great host - friendly, welcoming, communicative, and hospitable. The location is amazing given the value of the accommodation. Close to train stations that'll take you anywhere in Chicago, and walking distance to different restaurants, stores and even gay bars. The accommodation itself is in what I consider to be typical city-conditions, maybe some chipping paint, creaking floors, no elevator (1-flight of stairs), window-AC unit - but nothing too crazy, and again, for the price and location, unbeatable. The L-shaped couch is not a fold-out bed, so must be okay with sleeping on the couch as is - which was not an issue for me. So overall, great experience!

Mau was the perfect host and had a very nice place. He was very considerate and kind. His place was in an ideal location to getting around Boystown and the areas around. The place was pristine and he was a good conversationalist. My stay felt like I was staying with the friend. Definitely recommend staying here if you're looking a nice place to stay and for a host that treats you like a friend.

Mau was truly the dream host! This was my first Misterb&b experience and Mau sold it for me. His space is so quant and cozy in the charming Ravenswood area. It was less than 15 minutes to get to the gay strip and about the same to get to the beach. Mau had a great balance of offering company and conversation and letting me kind of unwind and do my own thing. I'd absolutely stay with him again and I recommend anyone looking for cute solo stay to book with him!
