Ghasri is a sleepy, peaceful, rural village located in the north-west of Gozo. The nucleus of the village radiates outwards around the main Church and piazza. Although it is the smallest village in the Maltese Islands with the least number of inhabitants, Ghasri has a mini-market, a police station, and its own local council. The closest restaurants are just a 10 minute walk away in Ghasri or a 5 minute drive away in nearby Gharb or Victoria. Dar tal-Kaptan enjoys panoramic country views from all rooms and a sea-view from the terrace of one of our bed rooms. A tranquil cove and pebble beach can be found at the end of a 20 minute scenic walk from our front door whilst the best sunset on the Island is to be experienced at the foot of Gozo's only lighthouse situated just a 10 minute walk away.

Regarding breakfast, guests with special dietary needs should inform the hosts prior to their arrival. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets as we have two very friendly and docile dogs and a garden cat. Due to the different levels and stairs of this historic structure, the residence is unsuitable for children or persons with mobility difficulties. Smoking is only allowed outside on the private terraces. Guests may smoke by the pool only if other guests do not object. The books and DVDs displayed in the library are at your disposal during your stay. Please remember to return them to the library before your departure. The use of illicit substances is not allowed on the premises.

We had a great stay at Dar tal-Kaptan. Peter and Warren were perfect hosts and made us very welcome. They had thought of everything to make our short stay with them comfortable and fun. We highly recommend this bnb and hope to return one day.

The old house has been beautifully renovated and has been furnished in a very eclectic manner, making it a unique and comfortable place to be. The hosts could not have been more friendly and accommodating, taking a pride in their house and your happiness during your stay. They were a font of knowledge on the area, and the breakfast was wonderful. The pool was beautifully relaxing. If you are looking for a unique welcoming place to stay then this is it, I want to give 6 stars. Highly Recommended.
