Ghasri is a sleepy, peaceful, rural village located in the north-west of Gozo. The nucleus of the village radiates outwards around the main Church and piazza. Although it is the smallest village in the Maltese Islands with the least number of inhabitants, Ghasri has a mini-market, a police station, and its own local council. The closest restaurants are just a 10 minute walk from the Guesthouse in Ghasri or a 5 minute drive away in nearby Gharb or Victoria. Dar tal-Kaptan enjoys panoramic country views from all rooms and a sea-view from the terrace of one of our bed rooms. A tranquil cove and pebble beach can be found at the end of a 20 minute scenic walk from our front door whilst the best sunset on the Island is to be experienced at the foot of Gozo's only lighthouse situated just a 10 minute walk away.

Regarding breakfast, a welcome pack is provided to start you off for the day. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets as we have garden cats. Due to the different levels and stairs of this historic structure, the residence is unsuitable for children or persons with mobility difficulties. Smoking is only allowed outside on the private terraces. Guests may smoke by the pool only if other guests do not object. The books and DVDs displayed in the library are at your disposal during your stay. Please remember to return them to the library before your departure. The use of illicit substances is not allowed on the premises.

The studio is comfortable and quiet, and it has a large private terrace, which we sadly didn't use because it was too warm and humid. The house is filled with art and has a large pool/jacuzzi. Peter was an excellent host, available by ******** when we needed. Ghasri is a bit out of the way; so, we were glad we had a car.

Amazing farmhouse. The house is very confortable and so is the room we lived in. Serenity is a good name for this large room with different views from its terraces. Peter is very lovely host. His suggestion of restaurants is appropriate. He made everything easy for us. And Etienne the housekeeper very kind and efficient. We would defenitely ġo back to Dar tal-kaptan when we come back to Gozo.
