The Reveal

Near LGBTQ+ SceneCozyCentral location

Our detached 'mini' period house is unique for central Dublin, a little house with its own courtyard & a few yards from our front door (on a quiet alley) you are in the midst of trendy Camden St in central Dublin 2 Portobello with St Stephen's Green a 2 minute walk away.

Please do read full listing before booking.

Our period house consists of 2 bedrooms upstairs, a modern shower room, a comfortable living room with huge corner sofa and working fireplace, a modern kitchen/dining room and unique outside courtyard/garden with bbq and outdoor heating. A modern heating system ensures there is always hot water and central heating when needed.

You will have a cosy private bedroom upstairs, which can be made into a single or double bed depending on your requirements. The nature of our place is that everything is a little smaller than usual but you should find it very comfortable. Please note though that since space is very limited this place is not suitable for couples with lots of luggage.

Though a historic victorian house, the space has been renovated to a very high standard with modern furnishings & conveniences throughout.

We are experienced hosts who will make sure you have a truly memorable stay.

The gay scene is on your doorstep here.. The famous George gay pub on George street is a short 10-15 minute walk down to the end of our street, and the Panti Bar is a further 5-10 minutes on the other side of the Liffey river.

Once you reach the end of our tranquil little alley you are transported as if by magic to a very different place, Lower Camden Street in the heart of Dublin's Portobello area. This area is full of local pubs, cool little cafes, an incredible array of international dining (from Vietnamese Street food to high end French restaurants), funky little shops, graffiti laden buildings and a variety of historic architecture and alleyways.

Only 10 minutes walk you will be in St Stephen's Green with its historic and relaxing gardens, the shops of Grafton Street and Dublin's Trinity College. 10-15 mins in a different direction will take you to the famous & historic Temple Bar area, Dublin Castle, the Guinness storehouse and a huge number of galleries and museums.

Basically everything is on your doorstep here! You are a walk to pretty much everything but if you wish you also have multiple bus services right on the doorstep, the LUAS tram service, and easy connections to anywhere you might wish to travel.

Host recommendations

Only listed guests please, no visitors. Please let us know if you are likely to check in very late before booking. Please note that while our little house and street is very tranquil during the day, there are some nightclubs on nearby Harcourt St toward the rear of the house. Occasionally this means there can be a little noise during the night, so we'd advise looking elsewhere if you are a light sleeper. Not suitable for guests with a lot of luggage due to our 'mini' size :)

Niall and Veasna's place was adorable and as-described. They were home exactly when I arrived to check me in and had a cute welcome gift of chocolates and Guinness, which was a nice touch. Their home is in a great location and was walkable to all of the museums and parks I was hoping to explore. I liked that it was near all the action but tucked away from the main road in a quieter side alley. Their espresso machine worked magic in the morning and they had a great shower. They were also very friendly—it was great hearing more about their travels and life here in Dublin. I would definitely stay here again!
