I stayed for a few days and had a great time. The host is a sweetheart, super friendly and warm from the very first moment. He gave me great tips for enjoying the city and was always attentive. The room is very comfortable and exactly as shown in the photos. The atmosphere of the place is relaxed and pleasant, it makes you feel right at home. I definitely recommend it and would stay again. 😊

A very charming and authentic place. Near to the city center and in the middle of the most beautiful street in Old Montevideo. Ivan is a gentle person, who loves to help you and it was great to meet him. The hostel was kept very clean by his friend. There is a beautiful roof terrace on which you can enjoy sunbathing, drinking a glass of lovely Uruguayan wine, of just enjoy the view over the old city. There are many good restaurants very near: La Fonda is downstairs and Alvarez just 100 meters away. Also a good supermarket very nearby, and lots of interesting museums. (No admission) When you visit Montevideo, you really should go to this place:Posada Al Sur
