Room limited to one ******** guest since pandemic as it shares my bath.**** Couples can check out my other two listings w/private baths including dramatic finished attic, Schneider Suite and separate entry Madison Apt Suite. I live in a gentrifying, diverse, urban, walkable, restaurant/brewery, foodie neighborhood 1+ miles from downtown, a mix, historic and new. Central location, "like a small town in the city." Walk or take public transit to sports games, concerts, conferences, major museums. Largest theater district outside NYC, bike and hiking trails. Owner occupied home, known for homey charm and good breakfasts. European, eclectic, in style and feel. Connie the cat and Henry the (large) dog live here too. My private home since 1992, it became Clifford House B&B in 1996. Evolving room by room, it all started on a shoestring budget after corporate downsizing from a retail development career, staying in B&Bs. An on-going labor of love, now filled with wonderful guests and collected "stuff." Everyone and everything with a story. Guests are 30 per cent repeats, worldwide, travelers, tourists, business, weekend couples, many neighbor's parents....Host collects City, County and State taxes totaling 17.5 per cent (0.03+0.065+.08) same as Cleveland Hotels.

Must be Covid Vaccinated. Mixed Clientele, Gay and Straight. No, not clothing optional. Must be 21 or older unless w/parent or guardian. Only guests over 9 yrs old. Owner occupied 4 bedroom B&B: 3 guest rooms/suites, owner in fourth. A mutual respect of space, noise and privacy is usually not an issue. Non-smoking home, outside ok. Turning off lights when not needed is appreciated. Arrival time by appointment 1-8pm; I need to plan time! Check-out by 1130-noon Breakfast at 830 or 9 on weekends, flexible weekday. Two car drive and street parking free. No pets please. One cat and one dog already live here. You are responsible for leaving the accommodation in the condition it was in when you arrived.

I stayed at the Withington Room in Clifford House this past November and had a truly delightful experience. The accommodation was stylish, thoughtfully decorated, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day out. Each morning began with a delicious breakfast, freshly prepared and served with care—an absolute highlight of the stay. Jim, the host, was welcoming and attentive throughout. His hospitality and warmth made the visit feel personal and memorable. I highly recommend Clifford House to anyone looking for a charming, comfortable bed-and-breakfast with exceptional service.

James is a wonderful host in a beautiful home. The area is great and very walkable, but also central to the rest of the city if driving. Highly recommended and I'd stay here again when back.

James is a great host and the location is really convenient. Easy metro ride from the airport and then easy bus or metro ride down town. Breakfast was delicious! Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

This is a charming property walking distance to craft breweries and restaurants of all descriptions. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast selections varied and the host is knowledgeable and friendly. He kept in close communication via text from the time of booking through breakfast announcements. We would stay here again
