GENERAL CONDITIONS OF RENTAL OF THE GUEST HOUSE I - GENERAL PROVISIONS The owner undertakes to be personally present when guests arrive, to give them the warmest welcome and to inform them about the operation of the house and the tourist attractions of the region. He will also serve them breakfast (if reserved), clean the room during their stay, make their bed and provide them with bed linen and towels. This linen will be changed regularly or at the customer's request (with a supplement for less than 2 days). The price per night, including breakfast, will be displayed at the entrance to the house and in the room. The owner must provide his customers with an invoice. Under no circumstances will the customer be entitled to claim any right to remain in the premises after expiry of the period initially stipulated in the rental contract. II - USE OF THE PREMISES By booking, the customer accepts all the conditions of the rental contract and the general conditions. The customer will enjoy his room, the authorized areas and places in a peaceful manner, will make good use of them, and will respect the premises, as well as the other occupants of the guest house. He/she undertakes not to make any alterations to the rented premises, and to make reasonable use of the resources and equipment provided (heating, water, household appliances, kitchen, etc.). He undertakes to respect the premises and areas designated as private, unless expressly authorized by the owner; failure to do so will result in immediate termination of the rental contract, without reimbursement by the owner. On departure, the tenant undertakes to leave the property in the condition in which it was found on arrival. Any repairs, whatever their importance, made necessary by the tenant's negligence during the rental period will be at the tenant's expense. Under no circumstances may the rental be made available to third parties, except with the prior agreement of the owner. Sub-letting is forbidden, even free of charge, on pain of termination of the contract, with no possibility of reimbursement. III - NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS Under no circumstances may the number of occupants exceed the number specified at the time of booking, nor the maximum capacity of the guest house. Without prior written agreement from the owner, the latter may refuse to accept additional guests, in which case no reimbursement will be made. IV - PETS Pets may be admitted with the prior written agreement of the owner and payment of the appropriate supplement. Failure to do so will result in immediate termination of the rental contract, with no reimbursement from the owner. The same would apply if the presence of the animal were to interfere with the USE OF THE PREMISES as stipulated in article II of the present terms and conditions. V - SMOKING Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the guest house; however, the terrace and garden are open to smokers. VI - ARREARS Reservations become effective once the customer has sent the owner a ******** of at least 25% of the total cost of the stay. VII - ARRIVAL - DEPARTURE The customer may arrive on the day of arrival from 3:00 p.m., unless the owner expressly agrees to an earlier time. The customer must arrive on the day and at the time indicated. In the event of late or delayed arrival, the customer must notify the owner. The customer will have access to the property until 12.00 pm on the day of departure, unless the owner expressly agrees to a later time. VIII - PAYMENT The balance specified in the contract must be paid on arrival at the latest. Additional services requested during the stay must be paid for at the time of their execution. IX - ******** On arrival, a ******** of 300 € is required by the owner (not cashed). After a joint inventory of fixtures has been drawn up at the end of the rental period, this ******** is returned, less the cost of restoring the fixtures if any damage has been found. In the event of early departure (before the scheduled day and/or time), which prevents the inventory of fixtures from being drawn up on the day of the tenant's departure, the ******** will be returned by the owner within a period not exceeding one week, after deduction of the cost of restoring the premises if any damage has been noted. X - CANCELLATION CONDITIONS All cancellations must be notified in writing by post or e-mail: 1- Before taking possession : . the rental contract is considered terminated, and . the owner may dispose of the room, and . as a general rule, the ******** remains the property of the owner; however, it may be returned* if the room can be re-let for the same period and at the same price. . customers may cancel their reservation free of charge* up to 1 day before arrival. The customer must pay the full amount of the reservation if he cancels less than 1 day before arrival. 2- If the tenant does not show up on the day mentioned in the reservation : . the rental contract is considered cancelled, and . the owner may dispose of the room, and . the ******** remains the property of the owner, and the customer must pay the full amount of the reservation. 3- In the event of early departure : . the price of the initial stay remains the property of the owner. 4- If several rooms are booked and one or more are cancelled : . the conditions set out in 1- and 2- apply to the cancelled room(s). 5- In the event of cancellation of the room by the owner : . it will reimburse the customer twice the amount of the ******** received, except in cases of force majeure. *In case of ********, a cancellation fee corresponding at least to the bank charges will be systematically charged. XI - WIFI Internet access is available free of charge. By booking, customers undertake to read and respect the Internet charter* in force in the establishment, which will be made available to them on arrival. XII - INSURANCE The tenant is responsible for all damage caused by him/her. He/she must be covered by a holiday-type insurance policy for these various risks. *WIFI: INTERNET USE CHARTER Internet access is free of charge. However, the user undertakes to comply with French legislation and in particular : - not to use this access to reproduce, represent, make available or communicate to the public works or objects protected by copyright or related rights, such as texts, images, photographs, musical works, audiovisual works, software and video games. - not to use any Peer to Peer download software considered illegal on French territory. The list of legal download sites in France is available on the ******** website. - not to consult sites that offend personal dignity, are child pornographic or degrading, incite racial hatred or glorify crime and violence. - not to divert, use or divulge electronic messages and not to install systems designed to carry out such interceptions; The user is also required to comply with the security policy defined by M.xxxxxxxxx as owner. It is reminded in this respect that the holder of an Internet access is obliged to secure this access so that it is not used for the purposes of reproduction, representation, making available or communication to the public of works or objects protected by copyright or by a neighbouring right, on pain of incurring criminal liability. This responsibility of the access holder in no way excludes that of the user, who may be held liable for infringement of copyright (article L. 335-3 of the French Intellectual Property Code), punishable by a fine of €1,500. The user is informed of the use of tracking software, and that monitoring will be reasonable and compatible with the need to respect privacy.
