Room and private bathroom is in a large 2 storey Victorian terrace. Beautiful light filled 2ND FLOOR garden view room , overlooking a lush verdant terrace garden of white bougainvillea , frangipani ,white brugmansia , and bromeliads . All LUXURIOUS 1000 thread cotton bedlinen , 100 % pure merino wool blankets , thick bathsheets & face cloths. Separate beach/pool towels. Electric blanket . Ceiling fan. Heater. Smart TV. Fast nbn/wifi. Use of facilities and Access to private gardens. Easy walk down to the inner harbour and I am parallel to Darling Street full of cafes, bars , restaurants and the Rozelle Markets. Easy access to the CBD , Newtown /Sydney University / UTS , Oxford Street /Darlinghurst , Surry Hills , UNSW , Manly/Bondi / Coogee / the nude beaches , and great day adventures to the Blue Mountains, Palm Beach , Kiama , Southern Highlands.

I’d like to begin by acknowledging the Traditional Owners of the land on which we meet , the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation and pay my respects to Elders past and present . The protocols for welcoming visitors to Country are similar to the fundamental tenets of misterb&b and welcoming guests to my home ,
"after permission was granted the hosting group would welcome the visitors, offering them safe passage and protection of their spiritual being during the journey . While visitors were provided with a safe passage, they also had to respect the protocols and rules of the land owner group while on their Country".

My home is very much influenced by Jules Verne a la Around the World in 80 Days......Boys Own Adventures :)) Full of beautiful eclectic objects from my travels around the world juxtaposed with my collection of mid-century modern furniture & artworks .
I enjoy being a tour guide or at least advise my guests on great things to experience that even many locals do not know about , or advise on how to further explore a guest's particular interest . My best memories of trips have been those insights that I have been blessed to be able to experience that very few others do ......Or I'm very happy to let each other alone if required .
Whilst there are beautiful plants and books and latest magazines everywhere in my house , I am obsessed with cleanliness and freshness ....as well as having good quality in my home for myself and my guests...whether its sundried 1200 thread count cotton bedlinen to organic ingredients for my supergreen smoothies or lots of organic mountain grown espresso beans freshly ground to order :))
I'm very particular about maintaining a nurturing creative positive energy/vibe in my home and would like to share this with similar minded people :))))
So , yes , I'm very much into laws of the universe/attraction ....what one puts out , one will receive .........Life is about living with joy & gratitude & great adventures :)))))

Obvious respect for my home & environs . Non cigarette/cigar smoker. No uninvited strangers or interludes unless we decide together. I prefer outdoor shoes not worn in house . Definitely no flushing of waste items ( ie , wet wipes, cotton buds, dental floss , sanitary items ) . These items must be disposed in personal bins that are provided . This is a city wide notice from our water authority. Please use coasters and placements for all glass/cups & plates/crockery on the furniture.

Rod was kindly available last minute to host me. His house is clean, and has a vintage feel with many art objects. Shoes are left by the front door. In the winter, you heat your room individually with a column heater, rather than central heating. The bed is modestly sized, with an electric blanket. Closet space is available but limited. There are excellent shops a short walk away, and it is not too far from city by bus. Rod was accommodating to offer tea and coffee, and use of the laundry.

Rod's place is really beautiful, the bed is super comfy and the linen is really very high quality. It is located in a great part of town waking distance to Balmain and Sydney Harbour.

About the listing - Rod's place was amazing and it was truly a designer terrace house. It was the same as in the picture. I stayed at his bigger room with terrace looking to the front. It was spacious, clean, with comfy bed. There was no AC but the room was cool enough with a fan. Bathroom was clean and spacious too, and Rod has set aside one area for my toiletries. Small thing but very personal. Location was in Rozelle, Balmain area. Although it wasn't in the city center, but public transportation was not an issue and I could reach the city only in 15 minutes. About the host - Rod is friendly and very hospitable. He made sure everything works for the guests' benefit. He has gone the distance with my booking, in this case to upgrade my room. Clean towel and soap were provided, including others such as toiletries, wifi, coffee, etc. He was so nice in taking me out to see the other part of Sydney, things that I wouldn't get if I stayed in hotel. Such a rare hospitable host that cares for you in his way. Highly recommended to anyone who visit Sydney to stay at his place!

Rod's house is beautiful, and he is a wonderful host. He will go well above and beyond to ensure you have a comfortable stay. You will enjoy a light, airy room - beautiful antiques - wonderful food and exquisite attention to detail.
