Located right next to the Assembly of the Republic, between the neighborhoods of Príncipe Real, Bairro Alto, Santos and Estrela, Casa de São Bento offers 12 double rooms and 4 master suites in an authentic 20th century building.

This was such a satisfying stay. I always make last minute bookings, Thiago and Pedro replied to my request quickly, thank you so much, this is the best guest house I've had, Lisbon is a lovely, diverse and living place, so does this guest house and the hosts.

I had such a great time in Lisbon in the comfort of the guesthouse. It is in a quiet neighborhood but a short walk to nightlife and action in the city

The reception by an employee is cordial, but we expected to be welcomed by the hosts. The available kitchens are well-equipped and spacious. The balcony is calm and pleasant. On the other hand, it was not mentioned on the website that the bathrooms are shared. The rooms are small, spartan, with no wardrobe to store clothes. The dresser drawers (salvaged from the 50s) jam with every opening. The bathrooms lack shelves and towel racks. Finally, this place is not really gay-friendly; we were the only gay couple during the entire week.

House Sao Bento is ideally located on tram line 28 and within easy walking distance of everything you would want to see in the center of the city. The guesthouse has spacious and comfortable, recently renovated bathrooms, a large kitchen and a large private balcony for guests' use. Tiago and Pedro are great hosts. They want you to feel at home. They are great sources of information about Lisbon and what is going on in the city.

I had a short but relaxing stay at House Sao Bento. It was well located and easy to find. My room was stylish, elegant and spacious. I loved the piano in the room even though I don't play. Tiaglo was very welcoming and ensured I knew where to go to find local bars, restaurants and nightlife. I'd love to stay again for longer next time.

Pedro and Tiago are two wonderful hosts, they speak perfect Spanish and gave me advice on places to visit and nightlife spots, thanks to them I was able to enjoy my experience in Lisbon more ;-). Their house is very welcoming, the decoration is carefully detailed and the kitchen is well equipped, it's the perfect place to have a cup of tea, or why not, prepare dinner with other guests. I will definitely return.
