Koromiko Homestay - Skyroom (Double)

Koromiko was a home away from home. Upon first arrival, I was immediately fascinated by how tucked away a large house could be, it's far enough from the city to make you feel like you're in the rainforest and close enough to make you feel like a local. The neon rainbow sign was the first piece of evidence that Koromiko would be my new sanctuary for the next 10 days - I feel like I discovered a whole new version of myself here. Thank you to the people who made it feel like home. There aren't enough words to describe it.

I had a wonderful visit here and am looking forward to returning. I love staying in communities and I was really welcomed at Koromiko. Great company, great food, a magical garden and spectacular views over Wellington. Highly recommended

Chris and friends and other guests made for a fun social gathering at meal times which was welcoming and inclusive and helped complete my stay in Wellington. Great location, great value, the living style communal but with your own space for privacy. Fun.

The view from the skyroom alone would be enough to warrant five stars; we woke up every morning in disbelief at the beauty. (Definitely worth the climb up the hill!) On top of that, the warm welcome we received, the friendly tenants at the house, the tasty meals we shared, and amenities like the sauna and outdoor bath all contributed to a magical stay. We very much enjoyed our time at Koromiko and hope to return sooner rather than later. :)

Fantastic experience staying at Koromiko Homestead! With an exquisite location, unbeatable views, and comfortable lodgings, Koromiko houses deeply hospitable and very interesting hosts, tenants and other guests from various parts of the world. Staying here was the icing on the cake for my very full trip to Wellington. I wish I had more time to hang and perhaps cook a meal for the household. Well, I hope to be able to return sometime!

Staying in Koromiko with Chris and family of friends was an unexpected treat. One thing that might be sold short in listing is, that their home is not a household but a radical fairies commune, fairly famous actually. It's vibrant and full of welcoming smart, kind and talented people each doing their own thing, coming and going, sharing meals, conversations and parts of their life. I'm a bit introverted and wasn't expecting this but had a great time and very thankful for the experience. Love, K.

The name skyroom says it all. Once you are there you feel like in a tree hut, lush forest under you and all of the sky right next your bed. What a fantastic place. You will feel very welcome and everyone is relaxed and easygoing. I absolutely recommend Koromiko Homestay. What a pity that's so far away from my home. I would be there more often.

Up on the hill, Koromiko homestay is a very nice place to stay, cosy and original. I appreciated the friendly environment and the great view on Wellington from my room.

A magical place that I never wanted to leave from... Probably one of the best sunrises I have experienced - right from my bed! The views were stunning. The hosts were fantastic: warm, generous, and full of surprises. Don't miss this one.
