In 2017 I purchased a turn-of-the-century worker's cottage on the near east side. It is a work in progress and has ongoing renovations. It's close to public transport, and minutes away from the restaurants, dining, and nightlife in Midtown, Eastern Market and downtown.
The private room features a comfy futon, desk and chair, bookshelf and closet.
The kitchen, bathroom and living space other than private room are all shared space. Front porch/entrance has some uneven steps, so not fully accessible to persons with physical limitations that prevent going up and down stairs.
I like to meet my guests and make sure they are settled. I live here too, so other than the private guest room, all space is shared space
There is a doorbell camera outside on the front porch near the door. There are no cameras or recording devices anywhere inside.

* Vegetarian household, please no meat or animal products allowed in home. Lacto/ovo flexible so dairy, cheese and eggs are excepted and allowed.
Bathroom has a clawfoot tub that requires a big step in and out.
Close all windows and lock door when leaving home. Kitchen and household are vegetarian and queer friendly. Open to all fully vaccinated, respectful, and kind people.
Kitchen: use of pots and pans and all dishes and service utensils is permitted. Please clean up after yourself.
Bathroom: NO flushable wipes or anything other than toilet tissue is to be flushed. All other products use trash can.
Please use coasters on wood furniture
No smoking indoors
No parties or events
No pets
House is "shoes off" indoors. Please remove shoes upon entering. Bring slippers if that makes you more comfortable
Guest must have ability to climb stairs. Five stairs from sidewalk to porch.
On street parking only. No off street parking
Some spaces are shared (Dining Room, Kitchen, Bathroom).
Please follow all current COVID 19 related safety recommendations.
