Richelieu may bring to mind the name of a famous Cardinal, but did you also know that he was the originator of a town on the borders of Touraine, Anjou and Poitou? It's right in the heart of this "ideal city", built by Jacques Lemercier in 1642, that we welcome you to our gîte "Le Petit Cardinal". Accommodation Just a stone's throw from the halles and the market square, and after climbing the two floors via a somewhat "confusing" stairwell, you'll discover a bright, fully refurbished 65m2 apartment.

It comprises two 12 m2 bedrooms, one in a "Nature" style with a 160x200 bed, the other in a more contemporary "Ginkgo" style with two 90x200 beds. You'll enjoy a large living room opening onto a fully equipped industrial-style open kitchen, which in turn opens onto a large 10m2 terrace, allowing you to enjoy a beautiful, well-exposed and quiet outdoor space. Other comments The town of Richelieu and its large park, rich in history, is the perfect place to visit the region and its surroundings, and in particular the many châteaux such as Azay le Rideau, Ussé, Villandry, Le Riveau, discover the wines of Chinon (18 kms) or Saumur (52km) or even spend a day at the Futuroscope in Poitiers, 45 min away.
