CHARTER OF THE NATURIST VILLAGE OF CAP D'AGDE Naturism is a way of living in harmony with nature, characterized by the practice of communal nudity, with the aim of fostering respect for oneself, for others and for the environment. This Charter is designed to preserve the quality of life necessary to the practice of naturism. Its recommendations are a way of life to be respected so that everyone can enjoy a pleasant stay in the naturist village, a place of conviviality, health and nature. It respects the values espoused by the Fédération Française de Naturisme, within the framework of French laws and the municipal regulations of the commune of Agde. It is governed by national and communal legal provisions and existing police measures, in particular : Article 222-32 of the French Penal Code: "Sexual exhibition in public view is punishable by 1 year's imprisonment and a €15,000 fine". City of Agde by-laws regulating naturism These regulations apply to everyone who lives, stays or works in the village: owners, tenants, visitors, shopkeepers, hosts and all permanent, temporary or seasonal workers. Each of them undertakes to respect the provisions of this Charter. RESPECT FOR NUDITY In the village, full nudity must be practiced whenever the climate permits, while remaining understanding towards people who may be apprehensive about discovering naturism, particularly teenagers. The family and natural spirit of naturism does not tolerate voyeurism, provocative attitudes, exhibitionist behavior or any act of sexual debauchery. On the beach, which is reserved for naturist activities, nudity is compulsory. RESPECT FOR HYGIENE Well-being, a value promoted by naturism, invites everyone to take care of their personal hygiene. It is compulsory to use a towel when sitting down in all public areas, shops, restaurants and cafés. Shopkeepers are responsible for protecting their stalls, particularly for unpackaged food products. RESPECT FOR THE LIVING ENVIRONMENT To maintain a pleasant living environment in the village, the following rules apply: Prohibition on the distribution of any advertising of a commercial nature In this respect, access to the village is forbidden to anyone wishing to distribute such advertising. For all others, billposting and flyers affixed to cars are forbidden. Respect the cleanliness of the beach and public and private green spaces. Dogs and other pets are forbidden access to the beach, and must be kept on a leash in the village and their droppings cleaned up. Motor vehicles must comply with parking regulations and the 30km/h speed limit in the village. RESPECT FOR ACCESS RULES
