Icod de los Vinos is a very quiet municipality in the North of the Island of Tenerife. A must-see is the famous thousand-year-old Drago tree that attracts many biologists and tourists in general as it is a jewel of nature that you can calmly admire from the fantastic Casa del Drago restaurant, on its terrace you can enjoy an excellent menu of fresh local dishes or a coffee in the shade of the dragon tree. Likewise, if you fancy a more interesting tourism away from the masses, you can visit the Cueva del Viento, which is one of the longest volcanic tubes in the world. You can enjoy the traditional Canarian architecture and make different routes of natural trails from the closest natural parks. San Marcos beach is a small cove away from the tourist mass of the island where you can find many local people who will make you feel at home. Communications with the rest of the island are good. If you want gay nightlife, there are several bars in the nearby area of Puerto de la Cruz, just 20 minutes away by car.
