Union Ridge Wildlife Center is an accredited animal sanctuary & wildlife rehabilitation center nestled within the sprawling hills of Southeastern, Ohio. Enjoy absolute tranquility down a quiet, rural gravel road, with nothing other than the natural sounds of nature...oh, and the sounds of wildlife from around the world. While a caretaker is almost always accessible, relax from your private, waterfront space, surrounded by the sights and sounds of non-human primates and other non-native fauna.
Pool (seasonal access)
Private Hot Tub (year-round access)
Friendly, LGBTQ+ community member, neighbors! (your hosts) :)
Quick Note :)
I've grown up and spent my entire adult life with and around zoological wildlife and native, wildlife rehabilitation. I enjoy the existence of ALL wild animals, however, have accepted the privileged responsibility to lead a sanctuary to non-human primates in an environment that prioritizes the animals' privacy, integrity as individuals, and peace. The sanctuary and rehabilitation center is NOT open to the public, furthermore, protecting the animal's integrity and peace with no hands-on interaction with the animals in sanctuary is a priority to guest safety and the animal's well-being. However, the majority of the animals in sanctuary DO enjoy the enrichment of interaction (from a safe distance) by limited guests hosted here at the sanctuary. But, please, do not expect to be guests to an 'animal exhibit' style environment. The sanctuary is THEIR home...you and I (your host) are privileged guests :)
The animals in sanctuary are our entire heart and soul! With that said, we go to great lengths to protect them AND them from accidents that could occur from close interaction with any of them.
