Hemlock Hideaway Cottage Cashiers/Lake Glenville

Under the shade of the Hemlock trees awaits a magical cottage retreat in Cashiers, NC on Lake Glenville, just 10 quick minutes from town. Hemlock Hideaway is a cozy, well appointed, and private 2 bedroom/2 bathroom cottage that showcases the very best of mountain living on the Cashiers-Highlands Plateau. The postcard views of the lake from the large elevated deck are exceptional for taking in the sights & sounds of lake life as well as the cool mountain air! (3,800ft. elevation)

Entering the cottage from the private drive and parking area, the lush rain forest canopy of Cashiers encapsulates Hemlock Hideaway like a quintessential mountain retreat. The entrance is on the ground level and houses the kitchen, living room, dining room and large deck. The fully appointed kitchen is perfect for cooking elaborate dinners or just a simple lunch. Vast views of the wooded tree canopy, surrounding mountains and Lake Glenville are visible throughout. Outside the sliding doors is the large elevated deck that is furnished with rocking chairs, cushioned patio seating as well as a dining set for alfresco meals! Upstairs you will find one bedroom and a full bath. Well appointed with linens and vintage bedding, the bedroom feels like a tree house in the sky! Cozy up with a good book in the upholstered lounge chair and ottoman or on the attached small outdoor balcony. The comfortable king size bed features sateen Egyptian cotton linens as well as many pillow options to give you a comfortable night sleep. Large closets, as well as a Roku TV and DVD player round out the amenities in the upstairs bedroom (we are unable to provide any cable or satellite service). The full bath, off the upstairs bedroom features an antique English vanity sink and a stand up shower.

Lower Level Suite- Located directly under the main living level, the suite is accessed from its own private entrance off the lower deck on the exterior of the cottage. It features a queen bed, a full bath and a private deck. The cozy lower suite also houses a 9 foot hardwood shuffleboard table, a flat screen Roku TV with DVD player (we are unable to provide any cable or satellite service). While the lower suite is accessed from the exterior of the cottage, separate from the front door, it is included with all rental reservations and can be used as a game/entertainment room for those only wishing to occupy the upper bedroom. The 2 spaces are NEVER rented independently, all of Hemlock Hideaway is yours to enjoy!

Hemlock Hideaway is located in the Bright Mountain Community. Bright Mountain is a private residential Lake Glenville neighborhood with a mix of full-time and seasonal residents. Hemlock Hideaway is private, yet not too remote, only 10 minutes from downtown Cashiers and 20 minutes from downtown Highlands. Lake Glenville is the highest elevated lake east of the Mississippi River at 3,500 feet above sea level. The Bright Mountain neighborhood roads are paved and easily accessible. The private driveway for this cottage is gravel and mildly-steep. Depending on the weather, smaller and low-riding cars might experience trouble accessing top of drive. But that’s no problem! Parking is available at both the bottom and top of the driveway. Neighborhood roads are great for walking and exercising.
