Welcome to my home.
I have been hosting guests in my apartment for nearly twenty years, welcoming countless happy visitors and building many new friendships along the way. All guests are warmly welcome here—regardless of who you are, who you love, or how you identify. I am proud to offer a home that is LGBTQ+ friendly, respectful, and inclusive. Venice has always been a city that embraces diversity, and I am happy to share that same spirit with my guests.
I moved to Venice about 25 years ago to study art history at Ca’ Foscari University and fell in love with the city almost immediately—enough to happily decide to stay in this unique archipelago for good.
The bed and breakfast is located in Cannaregio, a lively and authentic neighborhood offering a genuine taste of Venetian life—away from the busiest tourist routes, yet full of charm, character, and hidden artistic gems.
The apartment is just a five-minute walk from the train station (Venezia Santa Lucia), about 15–20 minutes from St. Mark’s Square, and very close to the historic Jewish Ghetto. It’s the perfect base for exploring Venice on foot or by boat, and for visiting the beautiful islands of Murano, Burano, and Torcello.
The apartment is on the top floor of a 16th-century building (please note there is no elevator—three flights of comfortable stairs), with a stunning view over the rooftops of Venice.
The guest bedroom is spacious and bright, with a private terrace, air conditioning, and a radio. The bathroom is private, en suite, and reserved exclusively for guests. It’s a relaxed and laid-back home—there’s no curfew, and you’re welcome to enjoy the terrace at your own pace, including smoking if you prefer.
The service includes a continental breakfast, bed and bath linens, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. I take special care in preparing breakfast: bread, butter, marmalade, fruit juice, yogurt, pastries, cereal, and more. In warmer months, breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace; in winter, in the kitchen.
Guests have access to the apartment, including the kitchen and both terraces, with the exception of my private room.
I enjoy spending time with my guests whenever possible. At check-in, I usually offer a friendly introduction to the city, with tips on what to see and how to make the most of Venice. During breakfast, I’m always happy to help you plan your day or suggest places you might not easily find on your own—this is a genuinely welcoming home, and I want every guest to feel completely comfortable, respected, and at ease here.
Please note that during the week I work from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. For arrivals during those hours, self-check-in can easily be arranged using a secure key box. I kindly ask guests to send their documents in advance to complete pre-check-in and ensure a smooth arrival.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Venice’s tourist tax (introduced August 24, 2011) is not included in the room rate and must be paid in ******** upon arrival. It applies for a maximum of 5 consecutive nights.
Low season (January): €1.40 per person, per night
