Room with a view

I had the most wonderful stay with Volker in his beautiful apartment (which is even more glorious than it looks). The outlook over the park is stunning, and it's an easy walk or bus ride into town. I also recommend a dip at the Opelbad, to work up an appetite for the delicious breakfast! Volker is a superb cook and very attentive host. He is a true connoisseur of people and of life, and we enjoyed many memorable conversations over a glass of red wine. Not just a stay but also a great experience!

It was a wonderfully beautiful stay with Volker. The property is the piano nobile in a turn-of-the-century house, meaning high ceilings, stucco, furnished discreetly and tastefully—this also applies to the bedroom! The bed is comfortable, I slept very well. The host is a very attentive, communicative man with whom you can chat about anything and everything, which we certainly did at length. He was an excellent host who delighted me with drinks and an outstanding, personalized breakfast in the morning. I will cherish the memory of my stay and would like to recommend the host in every respect!

Volker was an excellent host and the room as well as the entire apartment, house, and location of the house were simply wonderful! I felt very comfortable, slept wonderfully, and especially enjoyed the great hospitality and interesting conversations. I can warmly recommend Volker's accommodation to anyone! I spent two nights at Volker's, and it's incredible how time flies when you're in good company. He's kind, funny, intelligent, and able to talk about anything and everything; which I absolutely love. His beautiful apartment is a reflection of him: elegant, welcoming, and full of charm. He hosts with a generosity that truly make a difference. My stay with Volker was a real joy from start to finish. He is a host exactly as you'd wish for – warm, open, attentive, and with a great passion for cooking. I was not only pampered with delicious, lovingly prepared meals, but also with wonderful conversations about life in general. Volker takes time for his guests without ever seeming intrusive. You feel immediately welcome and at the same time free to shape your stay entirely to your own rhythm. His apartment in the Art Nouveau villa is stylish, spacious, and spotlessly clean. Your private room is also very spacious and excellent for working for longer periods... What was particularly lovely was sitting on the balcony in the evening with a view of the park – enjoying a glass of wine and really good conversation. The location is perfect: quiet, green, but within walking distance of the city center. Volker has a real gift for understanding what makes a stay pleasant. I rarely felt so comfortable somewhere so quickly. I've never experienced anything quite like this. Highly recommended – I'd very much like to come back.

My stay with Volker was wonderful. Volker lives in a dreamlike apartment in a Gründerzeit villa, very spacious and tastefully furnished, with a view of Nero Park. How beautiful it was to enjoy the evening sun on the balcony with a drink and interesting conversations. He is a very attentive host, can tell many stories about Wiesbaden (and the rest of the world) and really takes time for his guests. I am very grateful for the beautiful weekend I was able to spend with Volker. I will definitely come again.

"Room with a View" and the ******** of a uniquely beautiful stay in a turn-of-the-century villa opposite a park and not far from Wiesbaden's city center. Volker is a very attentive, courteous and friendly host who does everything to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Thanks to his wonderful hospitality and the special atmosphere, I felt very comfortable, welcome and well taken care of.

Look no further for an excellent host and amazing venue. Firstly, prior to arrival, communication with Volker was excellent. The clear directions he gave me were so helpful from arrival at FRA airport to his apartment. Once I arrived I received with a warm welcome. The apartment is amazing. Superb location, spotlessly clean and was exactly as described. Volker is an excellent host. I can't thank him enough for his amazing warmth and generous hospitality. We spoke at length on numerous subjects with ease. Volker thank you so much for the great start to my 2023 European vacation.
