The apartment is located three minutes walking distance from the Main River, where you can take beautiful walks and enjoy the view of the Frankfurt skyline or just sit back and relax. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the city center.
The apartment is located in a charming quarter of Frankfurt called Sachsenhausen. Alt-Sachsenhausen (Old Sachsenhausen) is just around the corner (two streets down). This is the place to go if you want to visit the famous “Äbbelwoi” pubs in Frankfurt (Apfelwein - or Äbbelwoi in the Hessian dialect - is a hard apple cider made in Hessen). These pubs usually have cozy beer gardens and yummy German food. Would you rather have Italian, Indian, Thai, Spanish or Chinese food? Or maybe even sushi? No problem. You can find everything your heart desires nearby. There are also several bars and cafés in the area that offer breakfast.
If you want to go shopping, the city center is the place to go. If you’d rather avoid the hustle and bustle, Schweizer Straße in Sachsenhausen (a 5-minute walk) has some great shops for you to explore. If you’re looking for a supermarket, REWE is just around the corner.
As far as public transportation is concerned, the nearest subway and tram stops are also just around the corner: Lokalbahnhof (S3/4/5/6) or Tram 18. There’s a direct connection to the Frankfurt Fair from Lokalbahnhof - only 15-20 minutes.
