Columbus is a historic antebellum home situated 10 minutes from downtown Columbus. It has been lovingly restored and updated with all modern amenities. It Is located very close to the W university in downtown Columbus as well as Mississippi State university in Starkville, Mississippi. The university of Alabama is one hour away on Highway 82. There is a United States Air Force Base located in the city of Columbus and many businesses and factories in the surrounding area. Columbus is sits on the Tombigbee river and has a beautiful Riverwalk that meanders around the river. The historic home tour is very popular and has many travelers who come to Columbus to see the beautiful antebellum homes that are preserved so well. There are several fine golf courses in and around Columbus as well as several gyms- private and national chain. There is also a gay campground 45 minutes away in Alabama.
