“Conveniently located (5-minute walk to the St. Pauli U-Bahn station) and friendly staff. Room located at the back of the hotel overlooking courtyard was quiet at night, but very loud during the day (music was booming from a source we couldn't identify). There was insufficient circulation in the room: since it has west-facing windows that take in the sun all afternoon, it was extremely hot and stuffy during the day; though the room was very clean, it also smelled of mildew. The odor of cigarette smoke was very strong in the hallway of the 2nd floor but not the room itself. Breakfast was good, but too much extra packaging that could be avoided: individually-wrapped jams and spreads, salt-and-pepper and joghurt which all could be ordered in bulk glass or more environmentally-friendly vessels.”
