Berghotel Malta

Located in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park at an altitude of 6342 feet, Berghotel Malta is located right next to Austria's highest dam, the Kölnbreinsperre, with the Kölnbrein Reservoir—one of the most popular starting points for hikes and alpine tours.

The Berghotel offers three room categories. Variable Comfort Double Rooms, approximately 20 sqm, can be used as double or twin rooms, some with an additional couch for up to 1 child under 12 years or with a connecting door.

Our Superior Rooms offer ample space, approximately 45 sqm, with a pull-out couch suitable for 2 children, a desk, an entrance area, and a spacious bathroom.

Our SPA Suite with lake view and private sauna is suitable for a maximum of 2 adults.

All rooms feature a bathroom with a shower, flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a guest app, wake-up service, and radio.

Dogs are warmly welcomed in selected rooms at the Berghotel.

The restaurant serves Austrian and regional specialties. Vegan and vegetarian dishes, as well as gluten- and lactose-free products, are also part of our offerings.

Free private parking and a motorcycle garage are available, and the toll fee for the Malta Hochalmstraße is included in the room rate.

For a minimum stay of 2 nights, the Kärnten Card is included in the room rate. This card provides free admission to over 100 attractions in Carinthia.
