Brendon·5·Apr. 2026· "This was my fifth stay at David's lovely 1 bedroom loft, and while it was only a short stay this time, David once again was the most awesome and accommodating host. His friendly and generous character make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. As always, the loft was welcoming, cozy, homely, spotlessly clean and came stocked with all the supplies you could need like tea and coffee, and even cookies and wine. You can't go past the loft for proximity to the beach or local cafes, of which there are plenty. David being the amazing host he is has thoughtful and personal touches throughout the loft, and it's these small things and this attention to detail that has made each of my stays such an enjoyable experience. I can't recommend a stay at David's loft highly enough and it should be your first pick for somewhere to stay if you're looking to explore the gorgeous Surf Coast of Victoria. Davids loft has become my home away from home, and I promise it will become yours too."

The bathroom and kitchen are very spacious, which is not the case with the bedrooms where beds barely fit, there are no closets, so the living room space and furniture must be used to store clothes. It's an authentic traditional building with wooden stairs and narrow staircase space. Not recommended if you travel with large suitcases, only suitable for travelers with cabin luggage and backpacks. There's a portable air conditioning unit, but it's in the kitchen and far from the bedrooms. You're asked to avoid noise from footsteps on the old wooden floor from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am, but the wood creaks anyway even if you tiptoe."

Alan generously gave me information about the places I wanted to go and moved around carefully so that I would not feel uncomfortable. If I have another chance, I will definitely stay at this house again and I recommend it."

Easily accessible without much street incline or need to navigate a lot of stairs. Primary BR and bath spacious enough for couple with wide view of neighborhood and peekaboo of ocean and sunsets; and also a step-out to small jacuzzi tub on balcony. Internal guest BR and bath comfortable for single person, but could accommodate couple as well. Nice open-design flow-through from entry kitchen to living room to balcony. Washer & dryer a plus. Strong dedicated WiFi in unit as well as common WiFi on rooftop. Keypad entry to building and to unit (no need for carrying keys) and 24/7 staffed entry desk. Derek very accessible and responsive. Definitely keeping this unit on my favorites list for future visits."

Tim·5·Feb. 2025· "I had a wonderful 3 week stay. The space was clean and comfortable. The desk in bedroom #1 was a perfect place to set up my laptop and work. The rooftop patio was a great space to get some sun.
The location was terrific. On a quiet street but only a couple blocks to a major intersection and only a short walk to restaurants, bars, shopping, and the beach.
The host was very responsive and helped make my stay memorable and comfortable.
I highly recommend the place and am likely to stay there again next year."
