"From the moment Roque (pronounced Rocky) opened the door to welcome us into his lovely home we felt relaxed and fortunate to have been accepted into his inner sanctum. Of course the house was spotlessly clean and pristine and our bedroom was spacious with probably the best mattress I have slept on. The bathroom too was large and Roque made sure that all our wants were catered for, with high quality body wash, shampoo and conditioner he even suppled toothbrushes and toothpaste for those guests that are perhaps a little 'forgetful'! The man himself was charming, entertaining, knowledgeable of the area and quite the perfect host, our only regret was that we only booked for 2 nights and would have loved to have stayed longer."

"I got to Bart's place in the wee hours of the morning (redeye flight), and I slept in the next morning, so I didn't get much time to chat with him. But he was very communicative, easy to work with, and I did get to chat briefly - very nice guy. I would stay here again. The place is a condo in a complex, each with its own address, and coming in late at night it was a little hard to see the address numbers, but nothing insurmountable. Just use your phone flashlight and look for them on the pillar beside the gate."

His place was clean and tastefully decorated — which elevated my experience — and is conveniently located in the quiet hills above Hollywood, making for convenient travel between east and west sides of town. "Had a great time staying with Stephan! He was generous with his time and made me feel very welcome in his home. I was comfortable staying in his lovely home. Stephan let me know that I was free to come and go as I wanted. We spent a bit of time together and shared some meals together. Stephan is very friendly and very knowledgeable about the area as well as the history of the Indian nations in the region. His home is about a 25-minute walk from town. I rented a bike while I was there. Awesome!"
