Prosecco

Prosecco is a cult little party bar for gays and friends in Munich's Altstadt, near the Viktualienmarkt on the edge of the Glockenbachviertel. Maximum party on minimal space; its 60 square meters pack in a disco-ball-lit dance floor where the music swings from German Schlager sing-alongs to chart hits, and the small room fills fast and flirty from mid-evening on. Alongside New York, it's one of the city's few genuinely queer nightclubs, drawing a young, mixed, up-for-it crowd, with drag shows, karaoke and bingo nights, a summer street "Schlagergarten," and free entry. It gets going late and stays busy once the neighboring bars wind down.
