My Happy Place, via All’Era 18 Pognana Lario COMO I hope you enjoy your stay, and to ensure that future guests have a great time as well, please keep the following in mind: General: This is a 100% smoke-free home. If you smoke outside the house, please do not leave cigarette butts on the ground. You have access to all rooms except the one opposite the terrace. This is my private room and remains locked. Please respect my privacy. In Pognana Lario, we love our stairs. Please use the indoor staircase with caution. Kitchen & Waste Disposal: Please always use a cutting board – do not cut directly on the kitchen counter. We separate our waste in Pognana Lario. There are 3 bins in the kitchen: one for organic and general waste, one for plastic, and one for paper. During your stay, you can dispose of garbage in the green containers at Parking Lot No. 1 (see photo gallery). At check-out, please don’t leave anything behind for the next guest. Everything should be thrown away, except for unopened bottles of water. Wine glasses and extra cutlery are stored in the black (China) cabinet in the living room. Please use the measuring cup to fill the water tank of the coffee machine. Pets: (Not Allowed) Pets are not allowed due to allergies. There are a few stray cats in the area that are cared for by neighbors. Please do not feed them or bring them onto the property. The Terrace: When not using the terrace, please bring all cushions inside and close the sun umbrella, securing it with the green string. We get strong winds in this area. Please also do this at check-out. Open Fire: (Not Allowed) The fireplace in the living room creates a cozy atmosphere when a candle is lit. Open wood fires are not allowed inside the house. No exceptions. The fireplace in the main bedroom is decorative only. It’s still in the drying process before we seal it completely. Bathrooms: The wooden tub in the main bathroom is great for a relaxing soak. If you use the handheld shower, please do so while seated. Please turn on the ventilation fan after using the main bathroom. The switch is on the wall next to the sink. You can also leave the door slightly open to help ventilate. Storage / Starter Kit: There is a storage room under the stairs in the small bedroom. Please do not take any food from this space. I want to provide a starter kit for future guests as well. The starter kit is there to ensure a stress-free arrival day. Everything I offer is a gesture of hospitality. It includes: shampoo, shower gel, tea, coffee, sugar, various kitchen spices, olive oil, and 4 bottles of water. This is a self-catering home, so feel free to buy whatever you need once your starter kit runs out. Cleaning, Laundry & Towels: The washing machine is outside the house in a small annex. The key to the annex is in the wardrobe. If you're staying for more than 5 nights, Carmela will come (if needed) to change towels and bed linens. If you need anything during a shorter stay, please let me know. Note that Carmela speaks Italian only. WiFi: Fiber optic internet – WiFi available.
