Welcome to our peaceful guesthouse Casa Alquimia - an independent house in our property of 5k square meters, surrounded by nature, near the beautiful historical village of Estoi. Just 15 minutes away from the airport and Faro city center, and 20 minutes from some of the most unique Algarve’s beaches.
You’ll enjoy full privacy and a separate entrance, while still being just a few steps away if you need anything. The house is up to 4 people, and is perfect for couples or solo travelers looking for a quiet retreat with the bonus of a shared pool surrounded by nature.
The space includes a bedroom , a living room with a high quality sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private bathroom – all thoughtfully designed for comfort and simplicity.
Guests have access to the pool, garden areas, and a spacious private outdoor seating terrace ideal for relaxing in the sun or enjoying a quiet evening under the stars with wide views over the sea and surrounding areas.
We’re a friendly couple living in the main house and are happy to offer recommendations or help if needed – otherwise, your space is entirely your own. Our family also includes a Golden Retriever and a Great Dane, so you're welcome to bring your pets with you, just let us know in advance. There's also a chicken coop in the property and you're welcome to pick up some fresh eggs in the morning for your breakfast and some fresh fruits from the fruit trees.

Note: Our house is in a rural area, so to come here it is advisable to bring a car, and there is around 200 meters of rural road to go through.

You'll be 15 minutes from Faro's airport and just 20 minutes from the famous beaches in Vale do Lobo, Almancil. If you want to visit a gay beach, then Praia do Trafal (Praia do Cavalo Preto) is 20 minutes from our house. Praia do Barril in Tavira, with the famous Praia do Homem Nu (nudist beach) is 30 minutes away. Praia do Submarino (Alvor) is 45 minutes away but also a must visit in the gay community.
Both Faro and Loulé are 15 minutes away and are the closest largest cities. In Faro you'll find some gay clubs as Prestige Dance Club. Albufeira is 30 minutes away and you'll find some great gay clubs such as DarkbyNude.
For shopping, one of the biggest shopping mall - Mar Shopping Algarve & Designer Outlet - is just 10 minutes away.

No parties and events allowed.
There's a tourist fee obligated by Portugal's law to be paid upon check-in. The price is: 2€/per guest/per night - from March to October; 1€/per guest/per night - the rest of the year. You only pay the first 7 nights.
Since we're in a rural area there are no barbecues allowed.
When leaving the house please turn off the air conditioning and lights for sustainability and energy efficiency reasons.
