It's the ideal place to disconnect from hectic urban life, whether it's enjoying leisure time, connecting with nature, practicing digital detox - despite the free wifi available - taking a dip in the natural pool, chatting for long periods, eating well, dating... If you prefer, there are many options for nearby excursions: the historic center, great beaches (Paraty-Mirim, Trindade, Camburi...), boat trips, waterfalls and hiking trails. Hospitality is our highlight. The rustic and comfortable accommodation is an apartment (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and varanda) in the Red House, with 25 m2. Vast gardens, short trails, a natural swimming pool, verandas, pergolas with hammocks, a vegetable garden and an orchard are all here at Vila Volta for guests' enjoyment. The owners are fluent in English, Spanish, German and Dutch. Gastronomy is another highlight here, a subject to which we dedicate ourselves personally, with great pleasure. We start early by baking our own bread for breakfast. Then, at the guests' request, come the full meals, snacks, salads, soups, etc. Dus, the Dutch chef of the house, lived in his home country for more than 30 years, where he began his experiments in the kitchen at an early age. He developed his style with great originality based on traditional Dutch cuisine, which is rarely found in restaurants there, and under the strong influence of exotic Indonesian gastronomy; which is justified by his passion for this former Dutch colony, especially after visiting it. Having been in contact with the caiçara cuisine of Paraty for a number of years, he realized from the start that there was a great affinity between the two tropical cuisines. The result is what you find on Vila Volta's peculiar menu: typical Dutch food, reinterpretations of Indonesian cuisine and 100% Brazilian ingredients.
