The main draw in the district — an 800 m long, elderly‐friendly arcade ******** 200 shops: red-lucky underwear (e.g., Maruji), street snacks like shio-daifuku and miso dango.
Markets and mini-festivals on the 4th, 14th, 24th of each month.
2. Kōganji Temple (“Togenuki Jizō”)
Halfway down the shopping street, this temple has a famous statue whose ritual (washing & rubbing it) is believed to heal ailments.
3. Tokyo Somei Onsen SAKURA
A relaxing hot-spring spa just ~6 minutes from Sugamo Station. Separate baths, sauna, towels included. Opens 10 AM–11 PM. Adult fee ~1,296 yen.

Shoes Off Inside Please take of your shoes at the entrance. In Japan, it is customary to remove shoes before entering a home to keep the space clean and respectful. 2. Lights & Air Conditioning When leaving the room, please turn off all lights and the air conditioners and turn off TV and fan in the bathroom to help save energy. 3. Quiet Hours Please keep noise to a minimum between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM to respect the neighbors and maintain a peaceful environment. 4. Smoking Policy No smoking is allowed inside the room or in the bathroom. Smoking is only permitted on the balcony. Please do not leave cigarette butts or trash behind - kindly clean up after yourself. 5. Laundry Room The laundry room is located on the 5th floor and is open from 8:00AM to 10:00PM. Please bring 4 x 100¥ coins: 200¥ for the washing machine 200¥ for the drying machine 6. Trash & Recycling at Checkout At checkout, kindly leave all trash in the room. I will take care of proper disposal and recycling. 7. Lost Key Policy In case of losing the apartment key, a mandatory replacement fee of ¥50,000 will be required to cover the cost of changing the locks. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
