Bright and spacious 1970s apartment located within the historic walls of Nicosia’s old town. If you love plants, basketweave wooden floors, and a cozy, homey atmosphere, this could be the perfect place for you. This is my personal home, so you’ll be staying in a real, lived-in space with character, plants, books, music, and personal belongings throughout. It’s best suited to guests who appreciate a more relaxed, homey, and unconventional atmosphere rather than a standard hotel-style setup. In this listing, guests stay in the chillout room with the orange rug — a space usually used for reading and listening to music, which functions here as a private sleeping area. The room connects to the living room through a double sliding door. The sleeping setup is a single floor mattress, making it a simple but cozy option for solo travelers or easygoing guests. Shared spaces include a large, light-filled living room, a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, and a bathroom with a bathtub. There is also an office space in the home, and access to that can be discussed depending on arrangements. There are two A/C units — one in the living room and one in the office space — while the sleeping area is equipped with a ceiling fan. The apartment is on the second floor and accessible only by stairs (no elevator). Located in the heart of Nicosia’s historic center, the apartment is within walking distance of the main shopping streets, cafés, bars, restaurants, galleries, and museums. It is also just a 10-minute walk from the Ledra Street crossing point and around 10 minutes from Solomou Square, the city’s central bus station. Although right in the center of the city, the neighborhood remains peaceful and quiet — a true retreat in the picturesque old town. If you’re looking for a warm, characterful base and don’t mind a more informal sleeping setup, this can be a lovely place to stay.
