I'm renting out my one-bed flat in Mile End, East London. I'm gay myself, and there's actually a lovely little community of us in this building and around the area, so you'll feel right at home here, not just tolerated.

It's on the third floor of a quiet street with a proper homely feel rather than a sterile rental, and open-plan kitchen/living room that gets nice light. It also has a comfy bedroom with loads of wardrobe space, a separate bathroom with both a bath and shower, and my favourite bit: your own little balcony, perfect for a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine after work. It comes fully furnished, and a cleaner comes by every two weeks so you're not stuck doing that on top of everything else.

Mile End itself is chilled and residential but you're still only a 15-minute walk (through a really nice park, not a main road) or a 3-minute Lime bike ride to Mile End, so Central, District and H&C lines are all right there.
