Located in North-Central Austin, the property backs up to a private creek and an empty 7-acres next door. The property is designed to be a private quiet space to unwind and relax at the end of a long day. Inside there is still plenty of the 1950’s charm with some modern twists. Outdoors we’ve created a private deck (800sf), small entry courtyard, as well as a fire pit and outdoor shower all surrounded by nature in the middle of the city. With plenty to explore in the gardens, the 10’ stock tank pool, our chickens, and garden paths, you’ll rarely be inside! We do have one dogs, and three cats - all super social - but the guest room is pet free. Please make yourself at home - we have two living areas, a kitchen, full dining room, and plenty of space to sprawl out to enjoy your stay. You will also have private use of the guest bathroom.

This is not a party spot, this is an escape from busy life. Must be pet friendly as we have two dogs and three cats who are affectionate, as well as chickens in the garden. Pets welcome so long as they play well with others. Smoking allowed outside. Please be respectful of neighbors after 11pm. There is no maid service during the duration of your visit, only deep cleans in-between stays so you will be responsible for your own laundry, mess, and belongings. We are excited to share our space with you, but we do ask that your respect our home and personal belongings as your own. There are security cameras onsite, covering mostly the entry points. We will be living onsite during the duration of your stay, please do not hesitate to ask anything during your stay!

Rodney and Jake are great hosts. Good communication in advance of arriving. Their Oasis in the city was truly relaxing. Had a great time hanging out with Rodney by the stock pool and getting to meet new friends. The room and bed was extremely comfy. My sleep was amazing. Its fun a place with the dog, cats and chickens. Highly recommend staying and meeting Rodney and Jake, good hosts and great people.
