Sunny Upstairs Apartment in Central Austin

These two have made an urban oasis out of an old house, and you get the top floor! Rich with books, art, and curiosities and convenient to Austin's urban core, it can be either your retreat or a nice place to invite friends for a party. The hosts have already helped you start your party by supplying ample cocktail ingredients! The bed is comfy, the climate control works great. The nearness of the I-35 freeway does mean there is a touch of auto noise, but not a problem.

This is probably my favorite place I've ever stayed out and the two hosts are just the best kind of people out there. It was cosy, homey, a safe space in all regards. It was so pleasant to be able to unwind after running around all day for SXSW either in the lovely reading room or in the bathtub. The vinyl collection was a definite highlight too, and I'm not even talking about the DVDs. All in all the best way to feel welcomed and safe far away from home, 10 out of 5 stars.

Great experience staying here (my second time here). Easy access to downtown. Comfortable bed, nice floor plan, super comfortable. Hosts were super communicative and my visit was great.

Bob and Kevin were great! The house is so fun with the chickens in the backyard. They truly made us feel at home. Will definitely be staying again this Summer when the weather is warmer.

I had an unforgettable stay at Kevin and Bob's home. The decor was cozy and fascinating, and the place had everything I needed. Instructions were clear and thoughtful. Kevin and Bob were both wonderful hosts, very hospitable, quick to respond to questions, and above all kind and generous. The dog and chickens also welcomed me as one of their own. All in all, I am grateful to have stayed with them!

I absolutely loved staying in this flat and Kevin&Bob are great hosts. The flat has all the charm and quirkiness you expect from Austin, but also is very comfortable. The location is very central with the added benefit of being in a neighborhood ... easy walking distance to star seeds cafe for late night breakfast tacos. I would definitely stay here again (and I'd feed the chickens even more).

This is a fantastically welcoming apartment, in a lovely neighbourhood. Kevin and Bob made me feel at home, fed and entertained me, lent me a bike and dropped me downtown. This is to be recommended 100%.
