Oxenford is a spacious modern barn conversion in a very rural location . It is a 15 mins drive from central Taunton. The house is very open plan with large open shared living areas. The garden is private on one side with a hot tub that you can use. The bedroom is spacious with adjacent bathroom with both shower and a separate bathtub. A continental breakfast can be served in the bedroom or in the large kitchen dinner on the first floor. This house is private but also has neighbours close by. This is a place to chill, enjoy the quiet of the countryside and walks or cycle through the woods. Sit in the garden and relax in the hot tub. In winter the underfloor heating and roaring log fire make it a cosy haven away from the bustle of modern life. A car is essential to get here as you will not find public transport nearby. A Jack Russel is In residence and likes to interact with guests. If you don’t like dogs then this stay will not suit you.

Mervyn was just so welcoming and friendly- beautiful home and a real oasis. Would love to return.
I had a very enjoyable 2-night stay here. Mervyn is an excellent and generous host who made a lovely continental breakfast. The stylish barn conversion creates a first-class accommodation. The underfloor heating is ideal for a clothes-free stay, and the large wood-burner in the evenings added atmosphere as well as warmth. The setting is quiet and tranquil with a large patio for enjoying the sun and hot tub. Highly recommended.
Many thanks for a relaxing break. Understanding and friendly, and the small dog was amazing, just what I needed. The perfect location. Thank you so much.. will stay again. Paul
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Mervyn in his beautiful converted barn home. We had plenty of opportunities (without clothes) to talk, share drinks and food and relax in the hot tub. The bedroom accommodations are generous and nicely appointed. It was helpful to have a car while I stayed with Mervyn so I could go further afield to see some of the region's sites, although there are many nice walks one could do right nearby on the rural lanes.
Staying with Mervyn (and his gracious partner who we met very briefly) was a heartfelt pleasure. Their lovely home was matched only by their welcome, including all communication, and the generosity with which they shared it. An outdoor hot tub on a chill winter's night is a genuine treat! A spacious home, immaculately presented inside and out, convenient for Taunton and rural enough to be a proper getaway. We enjoyed day trips in the Quantocks, and on the coast, all within easy driving distance.
A wonderful stay here in a beautiful setting. Accommodation was immaculate and the hosts were warm and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.
A magnificent house in the beautiful countryside. Mervyn is really helpful, and a delight to chat with. The hot tub is a real treat, and the naturist environment is a bonus. I truly enjoyed my two nights stay. Thanks Mervyn.
This is a really nice barn conversion in open countryside - the only noise is that of the wildlife. I really enjoyed being able to sit in the hot tub at night looking out over the countryside and enjoying a chat with Melvyn. Melvyn and his partner were very welcoming hosts and their dog was friendly - i enjoyed playing with her. The bedroom is roomy and next to a large well fitted bathroom for your exclusive use and i slept well in the comfortable bed. Overall a lovely place to stay in a nice part of the country and i would definately go back.
We had a thorough lovely time and spent 3 nights in Mervyn and Wajih's beautiful home. The location was very rural, exactly what we wanted, it is picturesque and quiet. There is no phone signal which suited us fine, the WiFi is excellent. They have a young puppy (7 months) which is still being trained, and although that didn't spoil our stay, it could for those not comfortable around boisterous young dogs - but it is mentioned by Mervyn in their home details! The gardens are immaculate and the hot tubs was perfect. I would be very happy to return
It was lovely to meet Mervyn and spend some time in his fabulous home, surrounded by beautiful countryside. However, unfortunately, the naturist elements of the stay did not materialise for us, as they have a very LIVELY dog that is continuously wanting to play and jumping up and down at you. Also we found it inconvenient that there was no mobile signal.
