Room in lovely Townhouse in quiet residential neighbourhood S'th side (no noise for sleeping) but just 3.5 miles/5KM from Dublin centre. Continental breakfast available (self-service). Bright Airy Bedroom with comfy convertible large-single bed and working desk/dressing table, wifi access. Guest welcome to use the kitchen/dining room, relax in the living-room, and have access to a sunny back-garden, Space for car-parking opposite. Choice of several regular Bus routes to the centre (bus stop outside the house) - Bus schedule provided. Convenient for nearby beautiful city villages of Terenure and Rathgar which have great choice of bars and restaurants for those wanting an alternative to slighly over-priced city centre; also convenient for the M50 motorway (and Airport). Attractive Public Park behind the house - good for walks and chilling-out after a tough day in the city !. Larger Public Park with running track - 15 minutes walk. Ashleaf Shopping centre/mall 5 mins walk from house. Kimmage is one of the oldest parts of Dublin city and has a strong community feel and positive vibe. The famous and historically beautiful Mount Argus Church and cemetery is nearby and Rathfarnham Castle is less than 10 minutes drive.

Declan was an amazing host—funny, open, helpful, and conversational. The room was cozy and completely quiet. Although quite close to city center, the bus does take approximately 30 minutes each way, so consider taxi or rental car.

It is a nice and cosy house in a nice neighbourhood. Declan was responsive, helpful and kind. It might seem far out but I could get into the city centre in just 20 mins by bus. Enjoyed my stay :)

Laid back house in Kimmage (a few kilometers from city center) with a suburban feel. Declan does his best to provide a place to crash for your budget travels. There is a market walking distance from the house which is handy. Recommended for solo travelers.

Declan is a very kind, helpful and welcoming person. We had some good talks about Dublin and Ireland. The room small but really cozy - I could even work with good Wifi on a small desk in the room. It is around 35 minutes by bus direct line to the centre and 45 minutes to the coast (Blackrock) to start a tour south with the DART. It is a quiet and calm residential area. For pubs/restaurants etc one needs to use a bus connection, closest around 10 minutes away.

The house is as described, good location & clean. very easy to communicate and check in with Declan - the only let down was the bed as it is not really comfortable.
