The Basque Country is extremely well situated for discovering all kinds of landscapes and characterful activities. Within a radius of less than 100 km, you'll find sandy or pebble beaches, cliffs, open or steep hills, towns large and small (Biarritz, Bayonne, San Sebastián 30mn, Bordeaux 1h30, Pamplona 1h15, Bilbao 1h30), charming Basque villages, mid and high mountains, the Bardenas desert, the Landes forest.
There are plenty of activities and tourist attractions to suit all tastes. Festivities are a strong cultural element here (Bayonne or Pamplona festivals, but all the festivals in many villages remain authentic and very joyful). Culture and gastronomy are another of our region's strong points, with one festival after another. The region between Bayonne and Bilbao boasts the highest number of Michelin-starred restaurants in the world! But there's something for every budget.
From here, you can walk to Miramar beach (10 minutes) or the golden sandy beaches (15 minutes), and all other beaches are between 15 and 40 minutes away by car or bus. Shuttle bus stops and other public transport services are just around the corner.
For the gay public, the beaches of Les 100 Marches in Bidart, the metro in Tarnos or the barracks (Landes) are not far away.
