David and Alain are wonderful hosts and they've created a beautiful space to get away and relax.
Very warm welcome from Alain and David, a pleasant setting with a beautiful garden. We had a wonderful evening over a good meal in the company of other guests. An address to remember!!
Excellent experience. Sublime apéro and diner with hosts and people from other countries around one table and with the best food, most of it home grown. We loved the warm pool which gets sun until its almost down. Great visit advises from hosts regarding surrounding things to visit (including annotated map). We will definitely visit again when in the region (which is a given considering so much to see around). Consider restaurants close early and are mostly closed on Sunday and Monday (so plan ahead and call to confirm) ;)
Thank you Pierre for taking the time to leave a review after your stay at Chambres en vigne. We can read that you enjoy our home and the food made with the products from the garden. Looking forward to seeing you again.....
We had the most wonderful time staying with Alain and David. Their amazing place has been beautifully renovated, as well as being furnished and decorated with great taste. The outdoor spaces are also terrific too, lovely gardens, sun deck and pool - private and really well laid out. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had everything we could have asked for on our two-night stay. What made the place really special was the warmth and welcome of the hosts, and their generous hospitality. In addition to lovely breakfasts we really enjoyed the table d'hôte. The meals were beautifully cooked, delicious and washed down with some lovely wines. Our only regret was that we were unable to stay longer. We would definitely like to go back for another visit and highly recommend this place and the surrounding area for a relaxing French break.
This was our first Misterbnb booking and was a fabulous experience. First of all, the B&B is set in in small village in a beautiful part of France but still only a short drive from Bordeaux. Once you arrive you feel that you are in your own private resort - the owners, Alain and David, have done a brilliant job of restoring beautiful old stone buildings and turning them into comfortable and tasteful guest accommodation. The gardens and vineyard add to the calm and restful atmosphere of Chambresenvigne. Alain and David are perfect hosts and make you feel as if you are a friend rather than a casual guest. Some nights, as an extra, they offer three or four course meals from their kitchen combined with locally produced wines. These dinners were a highlight of our stay not only for the quality and variety of the dishes but for the company and conversation with our hosts and their other guests. Although we had originally only booked for three nights, we made sure we fitted in another two nights. From the village it is an easy drive to the attractions of the region including St Emillion, the banks of the Dordogne and all the other attractions. This was the highlight of five weeks in Europe!
A wonderful discovery in a magnificent setting in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards... The warmest welcome, you feel like you're among friends, in a cocoon. The decor, the breakfast, the table d'hôtes, everything is perfectly executed!!! A must-see!
