Hi, thanks for considering staying with me. The apartment is a new construction small one bedroom loft. There is a queen bed in the upstairs loft (which would be visually private) or a sofa bed downstairs in a common area, (the bathroom is downstairs) your choice. I have this listed as a private room, there is not complete privacy because there is no door to the upstairs loft and it is open to the room below, but there is lots of respect and consideration of others. It is just you and I in the loft. PLEASE KNOW THAT I CURRENTLY ONLY ACCEPT GUESTS WITH POSITIVE REVIEWS.

Sheets, towels, soap and shampoo provided and feel free to use the kitchen so long as you tidy up afterwards. Feel free to make coffee anytime.

The WiFi is very good, desk in the bedroom loft if you need, and there is a big rooftop terrace with a large table in the shade if you prefer to work outside (but no WiFi there).

I was an ICU nurse, born in Canada, adult life in California, and now retired in Guadalajara. My Spanish is not terrible but we can use a translator app if we have trouble.

I am happy to help you get introduced to this beautiful city. In the plaza of the apartment, there is a very nice pizza restaurant, an ice cream shop, a cafe for breakfast and a hair salon. I can also show you around to a couple of nearby restaurants if you like.

There are security cameras in the complex but none in the apartment.

It's not really intuitive and a few guests have had trouble finding that.

Hi. I started using mrbnb primarily for work and now I try to use it whenever I travel. So many great hosts out there. Thanks to all of you. I'm a retired healthcare professional in my 60's, easy going and respectful, non smoker, not a partier. Coffee in the morning, easy parking (if in California) and reasonably priced, fresh food nearby and I'm good. Open book. I realize I'll be staying in your home so ask away. Now I am opening my apartment to Mr. BnB travelers. I have been fortunate enough to backpack Europe for 10 weeks in my youth, lived in Canada, the US and now Mexico, and I am beginning to explore Central and South America! Welcome! I look forward to doing what I can to help you enjoy and know the beautiful big city, small town of Guadalajara! Getting to know people from other countries and cultures gives me some of the benefits of travelling without leaving home. It's great!!!! If you can't say Free Palestine and Trump is a pendejo, you should probably look at some of the other BnB's listed! Que tengas un buen dia!!!

John's home is the best place you can stay during your trip to Guadalajara, especially if you're traveling alone. It's centrally located, very well situated, the neighborhood is safe and very quiet at night. John is the host that we all wish to have when traveling solo - always attentive to everything from the reservation to my arrival, with recommendations and help at every moment. Simply the best. Of course I will return to his home every time I return to Guadalajara. Thank you

John is a great host. He was very prompt in his communication and offered a lot of good suggestions for places to see and even took time to show me around the neighborhood. I traveled solo for this stay and the accomodations were great for me. There's not air conditioning but there are fans and shades in the apartment to keep it cooler. Thanks for everything John!

I could not have found a better place or host for my first visit to Guadalajara. John is super friendly, easy-going and kind. He showed me around, and we hung out a bit and had far ranging conversations. His modern loft is bright and airy, and located in the best neighborhood, walkable to great restaurants, bars, saunas, galleries, historical sites, etc. Muchas gracias, John! One of the amazing part of my travel was to be at John's place! The loft is very comfy, it has also a chic modern style. THE VIEW TO EL EXPIATORIO THRU THE WINDOW IS WOW. Very well located and inside the condo you can find clothing stores, pub, café. Wow Jhon! He's a great host, creating all the time an atmosphere just like if you were at home. And he's also a great coffee lover. Don't miss to share a cup with him meanwhile he's talking about some interesting subject!
