Group accommodation and creative retreats

Château de Parançay is a large self-catering cottage and creative retreat located on the edge of a small village in the middle of fields, in a calm and relaxing setting.

The medieval château has been deconstructed, but the entrance châtelet and a 14th-16th-century wash-house still remain. The gîte was created in the 19th-century Saintonge manor house, built from the stones of the former château. It was completely renovated in 2022, using high-quality, ecological materials.

Owners Sol and Tom live in the adjoining house. Sol (she/they) and Tom (he/they), are two non-binary people who bought and renovated this old property to create a place of rest and reconnection for groups. With 8 bedrooms, the gîte can accommodate up to 15 people.

In the gîte you can enjoy :

- Large, warm 60 m2 living room with lounge area (4 sofas, 2 armchairs, stove) and dining area (2 large farm tables, seating for 15) - New, fully-equipped kitchen - 8 bedrooms with new bedding in local wool: 1 PMR bedroom (1 double bed or 2 single beds), 4 double-bed bedrooms, 3 bedrooms with 2 single beds (or 1 double bed) - 1 PMR shower room with WC, 2 shower rooms and 2 WCs upstairs, 1 PMR WC on first floor - Large games/meditation room in attic With outside space at your disposal: - Large communal courtyard of approx. 900m2 with 16th-century gatehouse and century-old chestnut tree - Parking spaces and electric car socket - Private garden for the gîte, approx. 100 m2, with two large tables and chairs and an electric barbecue.

End-of-stay cleaning is included, and bed linen and towels are provided. All beds are made up on arrival. You'll also find a welcome basket with regional products on arrival. Heating is included in winter.
